Quakers and Business Group
Promoting Quaker values in Business and the Workplace

Terms and Conditions

Quakers and Business Group is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, No: 1157008, at Unit 12272, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL.

Our website is qandb.org.

We have a Constitution document and Rules document, both of which are available from the Charity Commission or directly on our website. We also have a Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, which are also available on our website, and should be read with these Terms and Conditions.

We use the name ‘Quakers and Business Group’ or the abbreviation Q&B, and logos, in all correspondence, membership and trade.

Q&B is a membership group, and annual membership is available to Friends (Quakers) and those in sympathy with Friends who support the purpose of the group, which is to promote Quaker principles in business and the workplace.

Quakers hold equality as an essential value, and so we do not discriminate in our membership on race, colour, creed, disability, gender, or sexual orientation.

New members are registered only once their subscription payments have been received. A member can resign membership at any time, and consideration will be given where a refund of subscription payment is appropriate. If, sadly, we hear of the death of a member, we will close their membership.

On application we ask new members to opt-in to our mailing list, and to be part of an automatic membership renewal each year.

We reserve the right to assess the suitability of any membership applicant, and have on very rare occasions rejected an application. In such a situation any subscriptions paid will be refunded as soon as possible, and at least within one month.

The subscription for the subsequent year becomes due 30 days prior to the end of the membership year, and any member who has not paid at the end of their membership year shall be considered to be in arrears. We will close the membership of a member whose subscription remains unpaid within 30 days of becoming in arrears.

We reserve the right to a close a membership where, after thorough investigation by the Officers of the charity, we feel a member has acted inappropriately.
