Ted Milligan will be in conversation with Tim Phillips between 10.45 and about 11.45about his magnum opus British Quakers in 19th Century Commerce and Industry.

In 2009 the AGM will be in Manchester!

Q&B Website

Our major development this year has been to get a new website up and running. It has a members only area with discussion forum for all live Q&B projects and you can even pay your subscription direct using PAYPAL.

We have developed the new website in response to members’ feedback but it will only work if we USE it!

Q&B NXD Network Conference

John Meadley tells us the the Q&B NxD network will be holding a Day Conference at Woodbrooke from late afternoon on April 28 to late afternoon on April 29th. Cost £60 residential. There are about a dozen bookings so far so if you have experience as an NxD or are interested in becoming one, this is Q&B group for you. Contact John Meadley at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you would like to take part…
Q&B Area Meeting Contacts…

We would like to set up a network of Q&B Area Meeting Contacts. These members would:

  * act as a point of contact for new Q&B members;
  * make sure all Local Meetings have current Q&B leaflets, News Updates etc. and
  * distribute Conference Flyers at their Area Meeting and to Local Quaker Meetings.

It is a small contribution that could generate significant local interest in what Q&B does. Is it one that you could make? YES? …then contact: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Q&B Conference 2008

November 18th/19th have been pencilled in for this year’s conference – still at Woodbrooke. This year’s theme will be “employment issues in the UK” - a deliberate contrast to the 2007 theme.
Q&B Conference 2007

Climate change & business - a Quaker way was a great success.

The epistle and papers from the recent Woodbrooke conference are all on the website and can be downloaded at your leisure.
